New Home Owner, should have waited...

    Yo,

We just bought a home less than a year ago. The home is awsome and came with some upgrades that we (Mary and I) would have never thought of getting like recessed lighting and surround sound system in the cieling among other things.  This was the 5 or 6th house development we looked at and were satisfied with the plan.  It's a 4 bed 2 bath home with a front and back yard, the house is 1900 sq. ft. Anyhow, to the bad part, the home was advertised at 410, we ended up closing for 3 and a half, we thought it was a fair deal not the greatest but we are first time buyers and should have done a little more research than we did.  Country Wide home loans is the company handling our loan, In our opinion this is by far the worst loan company and it should not be allowed to provide home loans to anyone, we would'nt even barrow a dollar from them.  They are unprofessional and late with every phase of closing escrow.  Half of thier employees did not know thier jobs and we had to drive to LA to sign and close on our home.  Country Wide should be considered a dirty word.  All this took place before the home loan crisis, thank God we got a fixed loan-some of our former nieghbors went with open loans and got shafted by thier lending Co. Some of them got thier stuff together in the middle of the night and just left, literaly just left the home to live somewhere else without selling it, just waiting for foreclosure.  Today, the homes that have not been built yet and the ones that have not been sold are starting at the high 100's, WOW. What a slap in the face.  That means that whoever buys in our nieghborhood right now will profit 200% more equity than us, equity is not in our vocabulary anymore, we just hope we break even.   -Alex.
