    About Me

Well let's see, I was born and raised in Garden Grove, CA. Shout out to Los Alamitos HS class of '02! I was a Varsity Cheerleader and yes I am proud to say we won Nationals my Senior year! ASB - Entertainment Commissioner and Broadcasting were other activities that took up my time. I'm half Mexican and half Peruvian! LATINOS MAKE SOME NOISE! HAHA...Cali is where it's at... I graduated from San Diego State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Art and an Emphasis in Mulitmedia. Not many people can say that they are happy to go to work, BUT I CAN! When I was 19-years-old I started interning right here in SD for Channel 933. My roots have always been pop, rap and hip-hop. However believe it or not, my first shot on the air was for a Country Station here in SD too.... US 95.7! Mike O'Brian was my boss for this station and he taught me most of what I know about Radio. I was so fortunate to have some one like him to basically coach me. He would sit with me every week for like a year straight and go over my shows every Monday... telling me on things to work on etc. I probably wouldn't be where I'm at today if he hadn't spent as much time with me and had shown me the ropes in this business. So ya, just been climbing up this radio ladder since 2004 and love each day more and more. It's amazing what you can do if you just set your mind to it and believe in yourself! My whole life, I have always been the loud, crazy and weird one out my family and friends. I'm so stoked that I can have a job where those are the requirements. HAHA. I look forward to getting to know you, hook you up with free stuff, and play all the hit music you deserve!

Girl Talk with Sis... "4th of July Weekend Movies"

Thursday, July 3, 2008, 12:39 PM PST [Girl Talk With SIS]

Today's Topic: Good Movies for 4th of July Weekend

Well, I'm pretty excited for this weekend.  I'll be out in San Diego tomorrow with my friends from college.  A few of them are having parties in Pacific Beach and it should be lots of fun.  Saturday I got a wedding . . . it's my brother's best friend who is  basically like a brother to me since I've known him just as long as I've known my own brother.

Anyway... last night I went to the movies with my best friend Tori.  We saw Angelina Jolie's movie, Wanted.  Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude! It was so good, not only that but ladies this will make you wanna go out and take a kickboxing class or work out at the gym. (Hence why I worked out at 10pm last night) Guys there's enough action and Angelina sexiness to keep you hooked too. It was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Another movie I wanna see but haven't is Hancock starring Will Smith.  That might be a Sunday nighter for me.  My friend saw it and said it was really good and kinda also geared towards woman I guess there's a Will Smith type love story in it, and you know he probably ends up saving the girl at the end... so I'm interested to see that too.  Those are my picks. Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend... Spend some time with the family and enjoy these next few days off.

    Xoxo,

    Sisanie

    Matt Damon.. ewwwww !

Thursday, July 3, 2008, 12:38 PM PST [Hollywood News]

    Look at Mr. Chubs!

"I think I lost my [Sexiest Man Alive] title," the actor joked to PEOPLE Wednesday at the Ante Up For Africa poker event in Las Vegas.

But that's no sympathy bump. Damon estimates that he gained between 20 and 30 pounds for his upcoming thriller, The Informant, directed by Steven Soderbergh.

"It wasn't necessarily that I needed to be fat," he said. "It was that I needed to be 'doughy.' "

Even though the weight-gain was required for a role, that doesn't stop Damon's friends from mocking him mercilessly.

    Wax Time for Tyra!

So Tyra Banks got her very own wax figure at Madam Tussauds in DC.  Guess which one is the wax figure and which one is really Trya?

    Related or Not?

Take a good look at 13-year-old Ashley Kaufmann, because this could be the last time you see her looking so innocent, normal and pure. It's only been a few days since Michael Lohan came forward claiming Ashley was his secret love child. He has since taken back his claims and is waiting for the results of a paternity test.

    Jennifer Threatened by Kimberly...

Jennifer Aniston followed John Mayer all around the UK and Europe last week while he was playing gigs. Everything was fine until Jen spotted Kimberly Stewart backstage at John's Hard Rock Calling show at Hyde Park in London. Kimberly and John apparently know each other, but Jen doesn't want any other women around "who reminds her that he used to be a player," claims one source.

Girl Talk with Sis... "The Importance of Water"

Wednesday, July 2, 2008, 11:54 AM PST [Girl Talk With SIS]

Today's Topic: The importance of water

Water... It's so easily taken for granted. Turn on the faucet in the kitchen or bathroom, and it comes gushing out. Sit down in a restaurant and a glass of it automatically appears. It seems to be conveniently available most everywhere. So, if it's everywhere, why aren't you drinking more of it?  Water is an essential nutrient and water deprivation kills faster than the lack of any other nutrient.

The amount of water you need depends on your energy needs. The average adult needs between eight to 12 cups of water daily. Now that it's summer, I found some tips that may help you out.  Especially with this heat wave we got going on right now, it's important

    Summertime tips

Its summer in California and your body's cooling mechanism has problems keeping the body cool because sweat doesn't evaporate in hot conditions. As long as you can sweat and the sweat evaporates, you can cool yourself. But if sweat can't evaporate, you start to overheat.

If you exercise--golfing, bicycling, hiking--during the hot and humid weather, you have to be alert to the warning signals before being overheated turns into something more serious, like heat exhaustion or heat stroke.

When you're active, your muscles create heat and that heat is absorbed by the blood. As your core temperature begins to rise, your brain triggers two systems--it increases the blood flow to the skin's surface so the blood can be cooled, and it tells the sweat glands to produce sweat.

Even mild dehydration can take its toll. You could experience coordination problems, fatigues, and impaired judgment.

To battle the effects of the heat and humidity:

    • Stay well hydrated and eat salty snacks.
    • Rest, out of the sun.
    • Wear clothing that allows for evaporation.
    • Wear a brimmed hat.
    • Cool heat exhaustion victims with lots of water. Let them rest.
