So as was listening to the radio earlier I couldn't help but notice that it seemed like every other song had T-Pain on it. Definitely giving Pain my props for blowing up so quickly after he has been around a while. Anyways, it reminded me back when I was a freshman at Bonita Vista.
Only instead of T-Pain and the annoying vocoder effect that he has beat to death on the radio, it was Ja Rule and his "Baby" barking that top the charts. Reason I bring that up is because, you guessed it, WHERE THE HECK HAS JA RULE BEEN?! He went from number one chart topper, beinf featured on everyones singles, to being an extra on Irv Gotti's reality show. No one has heard anything from Rule since 50 Cent killed him on wax. Now he's trying to make a comeback riding off the coat-tails of Irv Gotti's reality show.
Back to my point...T-Pains days on top are numbered, and will only be a while til' all the teeny boppers buying his stuff realize what a lack of talent it takes to sing the same hooks over and over in a song filled with vocal effects. The one dimensional singer is rocking with top 40 stars NOW, but than again so was Ja. Which takes me to my next topic...YOUUUUUUU!!!!
Now all across the airwaves is thee hottest dance songs out since, well no too long but you get the point. Crank Dat took a mediocre beat and weak song compostition up the rankings faster than I could put on my painted sunglasses and rediculously large white airbrushed tees shirt that was fly 2 years ago.
A simple dance hasn't created such a storm since the Macarena. Though it seems far from middle age people Crankin' Dat at the next wedding I DJ, but any noob can check the net and find TONS of people making their own instructional videos to the song. A how to Crank Dat dvd comes with every cd, but i'll stick to YouTube for the goofy lessons. With all the hype from the dance, the cd will probably go platinum. I'm not talking Kanye numbers but Soulja Boi is a marketable entity at the moment, since people are requesting the song non stop more than likely it will run out on the shelves. Heres my favorite Crank Dat video [Travis Barker absolutely Pwns this song on drums], till the next blog Peace out and thanks for reading.
